Statement on accessibility

The Federal Ministry of Interior strives to make its websites accessible in accordance with the Web-Zugänglichkeits-Gesetz (WZG, Web Accessibility Act), as amended, implementing Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and Council of 26 October 2016 on the accessibility of the websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies (Official Journal of the European Union L 327 of 2 December 2016, page 1).

This Accessibility Statement shall apply to the website myths-about-migration.info

Status of compliance with the requirements

The Federal Ministry of Interior endeavours to ensure that this website complies with Conformance Level AA of the "Web Content Accessibility Guidelines – WCAG 2.1" and/or the applicable European Standard EN 301 549 V2.1.2 (2018-08). A corresponding evaluation process has been started and is expected to be completed by the end of 2020.

Preparation of this Accessibility Statement

This statement was prepared on 25 September 2020.

The assessment of the compatibility of the website with the WZG for the implementation of the requirements of Directive (EU) 2016/2102 was carried out in the form of a self-test according to WCAG 2.0 with the conformity level AA in September 2020. The start page and a content page were checked. Individual page contents are regularly checked by the web editorial team when new content is published.

Enforcement procedure

If you are not satisfied with how we respond to your enquiry and/or with the answers provided, you may complain to the Österreichische Forschungsförderungsgesellschaft mit beschränkter Haftung (FFG, the Austrian Research Promotion Agency). The FFG accepts complaints sent electronically using the contact form below

Complaints received are examined by the FFG with a view to determining if they relate to violations of the provisions stipulated in the Web-Zugänglichkeits-Gesetz (Web Accessibility Act), in particular to deficiencies with respect to compliance with accessibility requirements by a federal government body or a public institution related to the federal government.

Provided the complaint is justified, the FFG shall make recommendations for action to the legal entities concerned and propose measures that serve to remedy and eliminate the existing deficiencies.

The website myths-about-migration.info was created in September 2020.

The public relations department endeavours to ensure that its online content is as barrier-free as possible. Since 2008, we have been guided by the guidelines for accessible content WCAG 2.0 in accordance with the national legal provisions "E-Government Act 2004" and the applicable anti-discrimination provisions. A review according to all A and AA criteria of WCAG 2.1 is planned for 2021.
